I know everyone sort of doesn't know much about what's going on this year. But I've had a very hard time finding an iPhone the last two years. I would like to know what's the best site that's not going to crash when ordering, and best color to choose to guarantee a release day, or near release day delivery (based on past availability at launch for the iPhone 8+'s). I know Apple.com orders get pushed back before anyone else, so what's the best place besides Apple or AT&T with the least issues to order from?

Apple Store app (not website) is usually the first to go live and not crash.

In my experience, carriers have been worse than Apple with ship dates slipping and delayed orders.

Question - does the Apple Store app support Paypal? I know the other App stores support it, but wanted to confirm.

Just curious, why would you buy a particular colour just so you can have it on release day and not the one you want? Also, how would anyone what would be the least popular when we don't know the colours for sure and how they really look as a finished product.

Probably because of the Jet Black delays. If you got silver/matte black you would of had the phone a lot sooner.

Least popular shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Largest size + most unpopular color which will probably be silver this year.

Because I've had black this year. I'm honestly fine with white/silver or white/gold. I like both designs.

Thank you. I remember seeing people with majorly delayed orders when they ordered first through Apple.com last year and the year before and ended up getting in 2-20 minutes later when they got in before midnight.

I've ordered with at&t 2-3 times; and the year before last they delivered my phone the following Monday (following Friday's release). I was pretty irritated but it was nothing like hunting for one last year and using a ton of gas to drive a few hours away to get one.

Question -- people have mentioned in the past about Touch ID or using Apple Pay during the pre order process to guarantee a fast checkout. What one is best to use and how would I go about doing that?

Do I add my card to payments in the Apple Store app, or do I have to add it to my Apple Wallet and have it done that way?
