Where are you located? Here in the US we have OfficeMax, Staples, and various department stores like Wal-mart.

What's your budget?
What look are you going for?
Function over form? Is there a woman in the house? Women don't like seeing wires and cords...

I bought a glasstop L shaped desk at OfficeMac about five years ago. I have moved twice and had to take it apart that many times. Somehow I didn't break any of the glass panes. Sometimes it squeaks and it is a bitch to keep clean.
