You post your phone, take a picture of it with the screen turned on along with any other pics. And then people buy it. I've sold multiple phones and bought multiple phones, never had a problem.

I'd recommend Swappa if you want the most cash, but Gazelle if you want money now and no hassle.

Swappa isn't too much of a hassle, but it can take time to move your product as you're dealing with people and not a business. I haven't really had issues with it, but I'd say use that one if you want the most money.

However, getting that much for the phone might be a little tricky with the new models coming out this month. While Apple products hold their resale value, unfortunately, capacity doesn't always lend itself to being worth that much more to the people who buy it. You might be able to get that or more, but lots of people will probably price their phones at a similar level, so you might have to undercut the price some to get buyers.

I don't think you can sell it on swappa if you still owe on the Next plan. https://swappa.com/faq/general/listing_device_criteria Not allowed: "Device with money owed on payment plan (e.g. EIP) cannot be listed."

So you would have to pay off the balance first. I assume Swappa does some sort of ESN check to verify the device isn't still on the payment plan. Dunno how else they could enforce that. Maybe someone else with more Swappa experience for Next or Edge phones would know.
