I am do for an upgrade. If I am an AT&T cust and on next plan, what is the best way to upgrade and acquire my phone? Is there any advantage to buying it through the at&t app? Best Buy? Apple? AT&T store? Any others? Is it cheaper or easier via any of these options?

Apple is probably best right now. Very fast shipping and no restocking fee on returns. Unless you find a great deal at some other store, I’d just go through Apple.

But not a great choice if you want a good trade in offer.

I ordered my Pro Max through the AT&T website two days after orders started. It arrived several days earlier than the estimate, which was also sooner than many people here who had ordered directly from Apple on the first day. No clue about trade-ins, I replaced a 6s Plus that I am keeping.

If you're already an AT&T customer, upgrade with AT&T. It's more cheaper than buying from Apple and selecting AT&T service. Also, you'll get your device faster than Apple for sure.

I took advantage of the $700 AT&T trade in offer early last week. I bought the iPhone 12 Pro online at Apple. Was able to pick it up at the store the next day. Went to the AT&T store a few days later to trade in my iPhone XS. I wasn’t planning on upgrading but couldn’t beat the $700 trade in.

I ordered from att.com and traded my iPhone XS. I tried to order at apple.com but it seems more expensive. Think due to Apple only offers 24 months instead of 30 months.
