Has anyone had any experience buying 3rd party macbook batteries? What are good brands/dealers to buy cheap but good Macbook Batteries, specifically for the Aluminum Macbook? Anyone have any experience with the mwave ones? I generally trust their site but their batteries seemed awful cheap...

While I would of course prefer an Apple battery, i unfortunately don't have that kind of money...and my battery is still at 92% of rated, which is great for a removable battery just shy of 500 cycles. I just need a secondary battery for an upcoming trip I am taking...19 hrs of flying +2hrs driving+however long im in the airport (w/o charging) ... 😱

I have non-OEM battery and has no issue. You can always find a charger at any airport. Some plane also have charger in flight. I don't see the point of having 2 batteries.

Any issues with buying them from Amazon or something like that?

I think I have to replace mine. Mine seems to be bulging a bit and I'm getting a "Service Battery" flag.

I'm going to take it to an Apple store first. I had had them look at an inverter cable and got it back with my wi-fi all screwy. When I took it back to Apple so they can fix my wi-fi, I got it back with the "Service Battery" flag.

It says my health is 77% at 215 life cycles. I think the battery's a few years old though.
