Sell your iphone 6 plus to buybackworld or gazelle if you don't want to sell it yourself on craigslist or ebay. Choose whoever pays more. I've used both companies and they do actually pay the full value of the quote.
Why not return Verizon iPhones and use att unlocked ones instead ?
Verizon (as well as ATT) only do the $25 a line credit if you buy a phone from them. If you bring a phone to them, no line discount. Further, the ATT phone (as I have read elsewhere here) will only work on Verizon if you have an activated Verizon SIM. Looks like I wouldn't have been able to use them anyway unless I put forth a bit of effort. Regardless, I needed to be able to have my phone number seamlessly transition with no interruption of service as I cannot go without service.
Are you sure about that?
From what I have read here on MacRumors. You'll want to verify though. Doesn't affect me now since I already bought new Verizon iPhones to replace my ATT iPhones. I guess I could have pulled the Verizon SIM from mine and tested it on the ATT iPhone but I didn't. I already package them up and shipped them out.
With that said, I do know that the $25/line credit is ONLY if you buy one of their phones on the Edge program. If you just walk in a pay full retail or do a contact to subsidize, then no credit. Edge (which is retail price broken up over 24 months) then you get the credit.
Well, I don't know about the requirement to purchase from Verizon, but I do know that you DO NOT need to buy on Edge to get the $25 credit.
I recently bought 5 refurbs from Verizon, NOT on Edge, and I do get the $25/mo credit for all 5 lines, so $125/mo total.
Of course, I will caveat by saying they may have since changed their policy. I made the purchase in October 2014.
Their CURRENT line discount is for Edge. You do not get that line discount on a 2-year contract, buying a phone full retail, or bringing your own phone.
