Hi,

I am going to buy an iPad Pro 12.9 next week for university.

I wanted recommendations for the best power-bank/battery bank to use with the iPad Pro?

Both Anker and RAVPower make good battery banks - I have some of both. I recently got this and it works quite well -

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082PGS78L

The battery itself also charges quickly.
Which model did you get because the Amazon link shows an array of models...

How do you charge the actual powerbank? Do I need to buy a separate USB cable and mains adapter to charge the powerbank....?

Weird - I just see one product, "USB C Portable Charger RAVPower 20000mAh 60W PD 3.0 Power Bank 2-Port Power Delivery Battery Pack High-Capacity External Battery".

You need to supply your own charger - true with almost all battery banks. It does have one USB-C to USB-C cable with it.

what charger do you use? Can you use your iPhone 11 pro mains charger?

I use this with my iPad Pro 11

I use a 45W RAVPower charger. You can use any charger - wattage will drive charge speed.
Will the iPhone charger charge up the powerbank or do I have to buy the rav power charger? im terrible when it comes to technology lol

Also how long does the powerbank take to charge up the iPad from 0% to full?

Virtually any charger will work.

I haven’t done any timing - and I never get close to 0% - but it is fast, the fastest of the many banks I have.

So you only use it when you travel I guess? You don't use it often since your iPad isnt at 0.

So to charge the powerbank do I use my iPhone 11 pro cable and the mains adapter or do I have to use the cable that comes with the powerbank?

No, I also use it at home. It is a bad idea to run your battery to 0.

I use a.variety of cables with it.

So the best way is to basically always charge it up when its at 50% battery etc...not run it down to 0 and then charge the iPad....

What I meant by cables is to charge up the powerbank can I use my iPhone 11 pro usb cable?

I have the Anker PowerCore+ 26800 mAh with 48W with USB-C output. It charges my MacBook Pro as well as my iPad Pro. Got it for $50 from Newegg (without charging brick). Love this thing and can also bring it on airplanes when I travel.

Same here, I did get it with the charging adapter - it's awesome. It has traveled the world with me and I also used it for previous MacBook and now MacBook Pro, as well as all the other Apple and non-Apple devices (iPad Pro, iPhone, AirPods Pro, Apple Watch, Kindle, etc.)

I am super confused
when you want to charge your AirPods pro what cable do you use? Doesn't the AirPods Pro use a lightning cable?
I am confused with which usb cables I need to use/buy to charge up my ipad/iphone etc....

How do you charge your powerbank? Which adapter and usb cable do you use?

I just use my MacBook Pro wall charger or my Satechi wall charger. The power bank charges via USB-C

Oh okay thanks

But to charge the powerbank for my iPad Pro I can simply use the charger that comes with the iPad?

Yes, but it will take a while for it to charge the power bank if it is low on charge. You do not need to buy a separate charger for the power bank.

Hope that helps!

Is there an adapter I can buy, I don't need one with as many ports as the one you have...that will charge up the powerbank quickly....?
