Best Practices? iTunes Match

Does anyone have suggestions for a step-by-step best way to maximize the iTunes Match process and results?

I'm sure the prep (going through and organizing iTunes) will be the biggest time consumer.

Won't necessarily help you. My collection was meticulously organized and tagged by Picard. Still, many albums unmatched, and partial albums matches.

I believe that this is a key piece of data. My 'Unplugged' album from 'Eric Clapton' almost perfectly matched up. Only 'Layla' has been uploaded since Apple has the duration logged at 4:20 when in fact it's 4:46.
