I've never owned any apple products.

I'm getting the iphone, but for long term uses what is the best next logical purchase?

A good starting point to help people make recommendations is to tell us what your needs are, how you use computers or other devices for work, entertainment, hobbies, games, or whatever else you're interested in. What have you been using and what has worked well for you?

As mentioned it depends on your particular needs. For my wife and I our iPads are the most used devices. It’s where I read all my books and magazines, most web browsing, most email reading, and general reference.

Airpods/Apple Watch, MacBook (any), iPad + pencil, Apple TV and HomePod - I would get the gear in this order, but that's according to my use case, your mileage may vary ;)

Best device to start with would be an iPhone. Then if you think your ready, you can get a MacBook too. But it’s better to learn everything before you get more devices because you don’t want to waste your money products that you don’t even know how to use. Hopefully this helps!

A Mac.

Which Mac?
Depends on what your needs will be.

If you need portability, perhaps a MacBook Pro.

If you DON'T need portability, but prefer a "desktop Mac", then an iMac or perhaps a Mac Mini.

Some of us prefer the Mini to the iMac.
It lets us use our own peripherals.
You can "bring over" the display, keyboard, and pointing devices you may already have.
(you can still use your old peripherals with other Macs, too)
