Hey, I'm looking for some apps that have good push notifications for my iphone. I'm looking for a news app that works really well and anything else that can give me info. Thank you!

I would suggest the AP Mobile news app.

Also, check your local news stations. I know a few stations here in Columbus offer push alerts for local news.

I like the NBC News app. They did an excellent job of letting me know about the Boston Bomber hunt going on last night. I knew everything from where he was hiding to the fire to the police capturing him.

I'm liking Circa, as it will give me push notifications only on the stories I want to follow or care about and not every news story out there.

I shall look into all of those. I currently have CNN but all these news sources are biased. I just want to know what's going on without too much opinion.

Have you thought about Twitter? All of those news sources put out alerts on Twitter and you set push notifications for them. Twitter is how I found out about the tsunami a few years ago, a few seconds after it happened.

This is a problem with all US Based News organizations for US News. What I have done to help try and get around at least some bias is go overseas.

I was searching for something similiar. I used news360 for a little while and then eventually moved on to just following yahoonews on twitter with mobile notifications turned on. they get info out fast when news breaks.
