Hi all,

My ASUS ZenWiFi Pro (tri-band) just died, and I’m looking for a replacement. I now have a 2.5 Gbps internet planand already own Wi-Fi 7 devices, so I want a quad-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system that can handle everything without bottlenecks.

Budget isn’t really a concern — I’m looking for the best, most reliable option available right now. Ideally something with 2.5 GbE (or faster) WAN/LAN ports, strong backhaul, and MLO support so my Wi-Fi 7 devices can take full advantage.

What would you recommend as the top choice today?

As an IT professional that manages Cisco/Meraki Wifi systems at work; for my home WiFi I like Ubiquiti.

My Ubiquiti Wifi6 is getting old and looking at the WiFi7 to support my 3 story house w/ 3 access points that are ethernet wired (not wireless mesh) for Wifi.....

Ubiquiti has been the easiest to manage, restrict, secure and their mobile app works pretty good.

I’m running ASUS ZenWifi BQ16 - 4 nodes. Using MLO for backhaul currently. Just moved house and will be wiring the backhaul. I have 1600mbit FTTP and get around 1300 from my iPhone 16 Pro Max on speed tests.

Do you mean something like this:

I can't really say if it's good. My line is only 500Mbit/s but it was discounted here on Amazon and I wanted something new. Those AVM FRITZ!Boxes got boring. 🙈 Also there is a chance that OpenWRT will be released for it.

I'm running a Firewalla Gold Pro and Firewalla APs. It's 2x2 WiFi 7 with MLO. I believe the fastest speed on my only WiFi 7 device (iPhone 16 PM) got around 1.8 gbps on fast.net app. Probably can get a faster test once I get the 17 pm.
