So looking to upgrade, have an old canon printer and it gives me more issues than I want to deal with. Looking to get something that works with MacOS and also is relatively easy to set up with ink prices relatively cheap. What does everyone use and like?

Color. Would be used mainly to print/scan things. Would ideally like to stay under $200

If you want "photo quality" color, you need to go to the inkjets.
If you DON'T need photo quality color, you might consider a color laser (but they may cost more than $200).
If all you need is monochrome/greyscale printing, a [non-color] laser will do the job best.
I like Brother lasers...
