Best Remote Access App?

Just wondering what is the best remote access app you have used to access your iMac or PC from somewhere else?

I am thinking of using remote access on my 2018 iPad 12.9, therefore hopefully removing my need to carry my MacBook Pro 15” when I travel.
 
Jump Connect is simple to set up (user name and password) and connect. If you need to remote to play video files off your Mac etc, Parallels Access is great for that ($20 a year).

What about simply needing to open files and use certain program there like Words, PowerPoint?

I am also using Jump Connect. Works perfectly and you even have the option to use a special mouse....
 
Jump connect is Jump Desktop right?

How does Jump compare to Screens? Anyone kind to share the experience?
 
I've been using Splashtop for years. Does what I need and even got me out of a hole grabbing files off a PC from the other side of the country

That is good to know. What is flakey port forwarding?

Just had an awful time getting the ports open so that Screens would be happy. Those same ports work fine on other apps. And I’m not a networking amateur either. Screens support weren’t much help at the time. Jump will be perfect for you. I’ve been very happy with it. And it supports latest iPads etc.
 
How does Jump compare to Chrome Remote Desktop?

What type of internet speed you need to have on both ends to get a good experience?
