I have ghost armor on my iPad and iPhone and find it an excellent product. They had a kiosk outside of my local apple store and they quickly applied the protector.

Did you get it for the iPad 2 or did they do a "custom" install? Are they different for the wifi and the 3G?

Power support all the way...but I also use Switcheasy (The ones that come with there cases..) from time to time as well and they work just fine.

Why assume?

The best tactile experience is sans a plastic "protector". Unless you're rather rough the factory coating is very scratch & smudge resistant. No reason to cover it :)

Wouldn't bother with any of them. I make my own with some 100 or 300 micron clear glass window shatter containment film. It's even possible to get tinted and mirrored versions if you like.

A 100ft x 50ft roll costs about £210 and use it as and when needed. Car windows, conservatory windows, screen protectors, laptop skins, etc. For an iphone you'd get around 5,000 out of a roll of film With a bit of practise it takes less than ten minutes to cut-out and apply.

None! Did you guys already forget those durability tests? Finger nails, keys, forks, coins, etc, etc.

I would just get a cover for a back and leave the front be.

One vote for iLuv.

Received mine yesterday after ordering on Amazon (shipped from Beach Audio). The iLuv screen protectors are the static type, which for many clumsy installers can be difficult. I find that if you have a can of compressed air, the installation goes flawless with zero debris under the protector. If applied perfectly, the iLuv screen protectors are fantastic. They are identical to a half dozen other brands, but reasonably priced (the clear version cost me just under 15$ shipped).

A word of caution though: the iLuv iPad 2 screen protectors being sold by Beach Audio on Amazon appear to be intended for the original iPad back when it was speculated they had cameras. I say this because the packaging has no mention of iPad two, BUT there is a correct cutout for the camera. Also the fit is slightly less than the whole glass surface, and when I had an iLuv on my first gen iPad, it covered from edge to edge. Therefore I am assuming these were produced last year and kept in some back stock.

Nevertheless it fits great and I'm happy!

FYI I have no affiliation with iLuv; but I used to work for an apple specialist that sold all sorts of iPad stuff, so I've seen about 5 different brands in person.

Can someone explain what's actually BAD about the invisible shield vs other companies products?

I've seen people say that they don't like the texture/resistance. and some say they don't like the orange peel look in reflections, but that's it. I've never heard anyone say it didn't work. they just say Zagg sucks, BSE is the greatest or zagg sucks xyz company is the greatest. without giving reasons.

I can understand if it's just coming down to preference in materials/textures, etc but when it comes to overall protection? what's bad about zagg?

Zagg "works", but most people don't know there are better alternatives and in most cases cheaper. Especially on touch screen devices, I would never consider installing a Zagg... It's the equivalent of trying to use a touch screen with honey on your finger.

I installed and SGP ultra clear or whatever it's called yesterday. It's not as easy to install as Power Support but it was available.

A little more clean up work on it and it will be fine. I think it actually feels better than the naked screen (smoother).

Eventually if I can't get the SGP as clean as I'd like (underneath, there's still dust spots and a few fibers) then I'll get a Power Support. It's on my iPhone 4 and is completely invisible.

I don't care for anti-glare as I won't use the iPad outside very often and no matter how good it is, it still detracts from the screen's native abilities.

Pretty limited poll given all the screen protection options out there? You have 3 out of a bunch. Not mention that people are basing their feelings on Power Supports HD / Crystal film on the iPad 1. Their version for the 2 isn't even available. Not to say I think it should be a lesser quality, but you never know.

I also don't think the "self-healing" skins should be compared with the regular screen protectors.

I wouldn't touch Zagg with your stick...

Not even with the upcoming 50% discount code.
