I want to redo my very simple iWeb site, with a non-template web design software. I've looked through the forums, and it appears to me that Freeway Express is the only relatively simple solution that allows me to start with a blank slate. Is there anything else that I should look at that is simple, bug free, and well supported?

Thanks!

Have you looked at Rapidweaver yet? You also have Adobe Dreamweaver too. You can also use Textedit or any word processor if you want to code it from scratch yourself.

Yuck yuck yuck, I hate Rapidweaver, and the OP was looking for non-template software.

Adobe Dreamweaver is good once you get going with it, but I've never been a huge fan.
At the moment I'm using iWeb, and dying for a way out now that Apple have dumped it, and Freeway looks like a nice ship to jump to - thanks for the tip OP. ;)
