There are millions of people wishing something and only so many useful key combinations — I find Apple's have been very well selected.

But surely considering that there's keyboard shortcuts for:

Qutting an application
Closing a window
Closing all windows in an application
Minimising a window
Minimising all windows in an application
Hiding an application
Hiding all other applications
Switching between applications
Switching betwen all windows in an application

And the fact that the Zoom button is one of the three fundamental buttons of every window, wouldn't it make some kind of sense for Apple to have created a shortcut for it? Surely I can't be the only person who believes this?

I know it's easy to get the functionality by creating your keyboard shortcut for it in the Keyboard Preferences or by using a program like Witch but why didn't they build it in?
