Best software for Interviews and Transcribing?

hi there. i'm new to mac and have a new iMac. can anyone please recommend which software to buy or get for (a) conducting interviews (i've got an iTalk and and iTouch) and then (b) transcribing those interviews to written format? i want to avoid spending hours typing them out...many thanks😀

You're going to have to spend the time to correct the errors in any transcription produced by software anyways; so why bother spending money on something that will save you neither time nor effort?
