I am looking for the best Italian learning software for my mom. The one with the best and easy to use UI along with good features. She is just starting to learn. There are 2 on the apple website but I don't know which is best.
personally i think your mom should do it the old fashioned way and use books. You don't have to use a computer for everything. that's my opinion at least..!

I used Transparent Language's Italian Now! to refresh my Italian before a trip to Italy. It was pretty good, but it got repetitive fairly quickly (I think that's hard to avoid with language software).
Theres a really good program called Rosetta Stone, its easy to use and works on the mac. You can go to their website and try a few lessons and see if you like it.
