Best software for reducing file size for web

I have some jpeg files for publication to my web pages and although I have always been able to do this with my windows machines, I'm now exclusively Mac..

Can someone tell me what App I need and how to best achieve a reduced file size?

Preview does this quite well.

JEPGs are already compressed quite strong. What file size are they now, and what file size do you want, and what resolution do the JPEGs have?
