Best Stand Alone GPS for the USA?

Looking to get a stand alone GPS as a gift. Which one is the best?

Nice screen size, display, and free traffic is preferred. Along with frequent map updates, and quick gps locking.

Looking to spend under $350

I'd recommend something from Garmin.

a 3rd Gen iPad wifi with the right app and a GPSr dongle would be quite nice... and have utility when not in use as a GPS...

Garmin ones with LMT are the way to go.

You can't go wrong with anything Garmin. I've been pretty unhappy with my TomTom.

So far I'm looking at the Garmin 2597(5 inch), 2797(7 inch), and the 3597(5 inch more expensive).

I'm leaning towards getting the 2797, but I will probably need to see how big the 7 inch is in person.

This will be for my Aunt, who drives a 2015 Honda CRV without the GPS package. Her eyes are not the best, but I don't want to get something too damn big.
