That's not a genuine reply at all. When you quit trolling maybe consider answering. Then again, don't.

IPP looks nice but is the magnet keyboard non bluetooth? I know tablets are better than Chromebooks. Any love for the Chromebooks with touchscreen out there?

But Windows 10. I was interested in the Surface but was told 1. updates a lot 2. freezes sometimes.

Maybe Chromebook is ok? ARM is weak but can it do the trick in 2016?

I have an IPP 9.7. It's fantastic. I use this keyboard with it, which would seem to check all your boxes:

Logitech CREATE Backlit Keyboard Case for 9.7-inch iPad Pro - Black

Keyboard is fantastic to type on. Apple Pencil is a bit heavier than I prefer but it's pretty spot on for writing and drawing.

Owned a MS Surface Pro 4. Pass. Concept is awesome but my own experience was terrible. Frequent freezes and crashes. Honestly though it probably works better as a laptop than a tablet anyway.

It's the quality of reply you deserve considering your incredibly poor attitude towards people who were trying to give you advice. It's a bit rich accusing that guy of trolling when it appears this thread had that very intention in its conception.

Make your own decisions and do your own research. Enjoy.

When it comes to tablets,go for iPad.Apart from Surface, nothing comes close to iPad but Surface doesnt have touch oriented tablet apps

This was my second biggest problem with Surface. As a tablet, you have very limited options for apps. Same old story with any non-iOS tablet, I guess. Maybe it's increasing popularity will draw more devs to it.

All three platforms have their pros and cons.

The relative paucity of touch apps on the Surface line limits its appeal from a tablet POV.

Android does touch apps almost as good as IOS, and both of them (Windows and Andoid) have very accessible file systems which make them a joy to use compared to Apples way of doing things.

Apple with iOS does everything right in all things tablet, but because they never focused on all other input methods beyond touch (in its broadest sense), now finds itself hamstrung to a degree.

3D Touch extends the touch functionality, but until mouse support is added (and I believe there is a way to do that w/o impacting the tablet's modus operandi), it will be difficult to extend the iPad beyond what you can currently.

Almost all of Android's apps are stretched out phone apps.Even games are not designed for tablets. If you ever run Real Racing 3 or Subway Surfers on an Android tablet, there is aliasing everywhere and blurry textures. The same apps on iPad are razor sharp

There are poor Android apps as well as some good ones. For touch support, both android and iOS, run rings around Windows. And the quality of Android apps isn't the central topic here anyway.

I would be open to Windows on a tablet. But the app choices, from a touch perspective, are a joke.

I'll toss out another option for a tablet. I was just looking at this for myself. The Lenovo Yoga Book. It can be had in Windows or Android variants. Android has 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. I'm between that and the Pixel-C for my next tablet, but I might wait for gen-2 of both to decide.

I've been keen on the Yoga Book because it's extremely light for a tablet and keyboard (of sorts) combo.
But I think I'm going to wait for gen 2. What's put me off gen 1 is the screen does not have a proper digitiser.
I'd much rather have the Wacom digitiser in the screen than in the virtual keyboard area.

A lot of rough edges to the Android version. Would definitely tell you to wait till v2 before trying out.

Something that is longer and more narrow gets awkward to hold for prolonged periods in portrait mode. That being said, 16:9 is better for watching movies and TV shows.
Give over man, there's no difference, your hands are maybe an inch or two wider. That's it, you are still holding 2 straight edges. You might prefer looking at a 4 3 ratio, that's cool. But your holding argument carries zero weight. Pun intended.

Why do you care what my opinion is so much? If you like holding a long and narrow tablet? Good for you. Most people find it awkward. Get over yourself.

Most people? Can you give us links to the survey where this question was asked.. or are you just passing off your personal opinion as fact. And you have the nerve to tell me to get over myself.. jeez...

Why do you think Samsung keeps copying that ratio? People aren't buying 16:9 tablets by and large.

Because your 'opinion' has in your comment been applied to 'most people'. You should stick to it being your opinion that applies to you and not anyone else.
I think it's a waste of time to argue what tablet size is better, they are tablets and their are an awful lot of different sized hands in this world.

If your going to start declaring your opinion as one that applies to most people, you will need to back that up with statistical facts and surveys that report the size of tablet people prefer and no sales don't count.

I doubt most people have a clue what ratio their tablet is. I had no idea what my iPad was until I just looked it up. It's the best tablet though so that probably counts more than anything else.
