Hey guys. I'm looking for a good leather strap. Every one I have tried has been a thick leather, and it causes the watch to sit slightly above my wrist. My main use for the watch is heart tracking so I need it to be tight to my wrist.

Are there any thin leather straps out there that can get tight to the wrist like the silicone ones?

Thanks!

This is what I would go with.

I have 3 straps for traditional watches from Jack. I've tried a lot of leather over the years, and these are high quality leather, well made, and easily compare to brands costing twice as much. Better than the Hermes straps. The options on length is key to good fit and avoiding excess strap. The cordovan horeween is very thin and supple, adapts to the wrist. I have dark brown and black for my mechanical watches.

I'm more curious about you needing a tight watch strap. I've used various types of bands, including leather. I've never had a problem getting it tight to my wrist. Nor have I ever felt the need to have it "tight" in the first place. When you say other leather bands don't let you get it tight enough, that just sets off alarm bells. I wear mine lose enough to get a finger in under the band and it records my heart just fine. So I'm confused why you seem to need such tightness in the first place. That doesn't sound right to me.

I have very small bony wrists. Almost every leather strap I have tried is very rigid and just causes the watch to sit on top of the wrist bone instead of tightly against my wrist. The silicone and nylon straps have no issues

Fair enough. Can't say I know of any leather off the top of my head that would work. I actually went out of my way to find a leather band that was thicker, so that's not going to be any help at all. And it sounds like you already have the silicone and nylon, so you're good there. I guess I have nothing left. Good luck finding a band that works for you.
