I sold my 1.5 year old 2GHZ / 2GB Ram / No Warranty - Macbook on eBay a week ago for $800... not too bad considering it was only $1100.

Either sell it now for around that or you keep it until a new one is announced and sell it for like $500-600

good sell but still a loss of $300, I'm surprised you got that much

But then again, Im no expert. :D

I'm trying to sell a 1.5 year old 17" HP laptop that's cool (NOT AN ADVERTISEMNT, 1.8 Ghz, 2GB RAM), and am having trouble getting any looks close to that amount

I put mine on Ebay two days ago. I have the black 2.4 GHz with 2GB of RAM, 3-year AppleCare Warranty, and I'm selling it with Microsoft Office 2008. I've only had it since the end of August and it's in perfect condition. I'm hoping to get at least $1200, but I might accept $1100.

I don't think a 2.2/4GB ram/120 HD will go for over 1k. You can get a refurb with 2.2/1GB ram/120 HD for 1k from Apple. Your increased RAM is good but not worth $200 extra. Warranty helps but still will not get you the extra money. There are too many people selling their machines already. If there is a new machine coming from Apple it's always better to wait for all the kinks to be worked out. I say keep your Macbook for another year and save up $100 monthly for a new one and give the other to your sister as a gift. :p

I got my Blackbook 2.2 over a year ago off ebay for $1,200.00 and it also had 4GB RAM/250 HD and was new in the box. People had more money then.

I thought I would give a little update. I was able to sell my macbook for 1000 even locally.
