Best Time to Sell Photo Gear

It's Christmas now... seems like prices are down. I want to sell a lot of expensive gear, on eBay and on forums. Should I put it up for sale now or wait? What do others recommend? What times are the year fetch the highest prices?

Maybe after the new year for those who got new camera bodies for Christmas or have Christmas cash to spend.

That might make sense. I'm going to hold off until after Christmas. Is there a way to track ebay prices by month?

Most of this stuff is special-purpose (large format and weird lenses) so it would be for a small base of people.

Just post it for sale now at the price you want and sell it when someone finally offers to buy it for that price.

The spring is a good time to sell. Folks have their tax rebates and want to get outside on spring and summer trips.
