Best uninstall technique

I rarely install 3rd party programs on my Macbook Pro. However when there's something I want to try out I will. Most dont have an uninstaller. What is the best way to uninstall a program in Leopard?

Appzapper and Appcleaner both claim to delete all files associated with the app you are deleting.

Most of the time the 3rd party apps don't install a lot of junk other than a small plist file anyways, so even if you just drag it to the Trash it isn't really hogging any resources.
