Looking for a new USB hub. I would like to have 10 ports, and reliability. Any suggestions?
i have this One, its only 7 ports tho..good build quality and has never dropped a connection on me.
Thanks. Are you running any hard drives on it? Need to connect two.
The Anker looks terrific, and I like the aluminum construction. I have some other Anker products including a portable battery pack and it's been outstanding.
The 4-port is an excellent deal at the moment:
Only $15 (I realize the OP was asking about 10 port).
i transferred 1.5tb over 2 buspowered 2TB wd passports the other day..i regularly have 3-4 hard drives that are ac powered connected to them.
Sounds Good. Thanks. Nice looking as well. So long as it's reliable. How long have you had it? Does your drives come back online after the computer sleeps?
I went with the 10 port amazon basics one, seems to work well.
I use this guy:
Like it a lot. I have it double sided taped down just behind the front carry handle on top.
How funny. I ordered this one today.
Looks like the same unit, different name. Does it drop ports after sleep?
That's good news. Get mine tomorrow. Do you have any hard drives hooked to it?
Are you running on a Mac pro with USB 2.0 ports? Which OS are you running? I have heard that there are problems with Yosemite, such as loosing ports at random.
^^^^My hub is running from one of the USB 3.0 ports on a RocketU 1144C PCIe card that I have installed in slot 4. No issues in Yosemite.
