Hi guys,

I am not a fan of Apple's USB-C hub, partly due to the design (the longer wire) and limited inputs. So, I ended up purchasing this one (DodoCool USB C Hub Multiport Adapter) - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0776R6VCT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's not bad but it often causes my USB mouse to lag! I used multiple USB mouses and it's all the same. Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know why it does this?

Anyhow, my wife has Apple's own USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter and I just tried it and my mouse doesn't lag at all. There's obviously a difference in quality there.

Does anyone have any USB-C hub's that work well for them?

Thanks.

Get the Hyperdrive by Sanho. I got the previous TB3 one and it works wonders.

Their latest USB-C product is on its final days on Kickstarter and you can pick it up on a massive discount now and it comes with wireless charging so I can charge my iPhone X alongside it too!

Thanks for the reply! You never had issues with USB mouse lagging with that right?

That sounds great! Do you have a link to the kickstarter?

For home use, the OWC TB3 dock is amazing. For travel, the QacQoc 8 in 1 is amazing. Other than that, I just buy relevant cables.

I have an OWC USB-C dock which is really nice. The other dock I have is an Aukey multiport USB-C which is very impressive for the price. I had watched a lot of benchmark comparisons of running multiple drives off of the hubs, and the Aukey did extremely well.

The Aukey has an integrated short usb-c cable, so I just bought a USB-C extension and it works fantastic.

Another thumbs-up for the Hyperdrive. I bought their Hyperdrive Duo Hub and have been very happy with it. I run two 22" 1080p LCDs through the HDMI and TB3 ports and a Plantronics headset through one of the USB-A ports. Power is connected to one of the right-hand USB-C ports. Works great for the money. :)

I got this before I even bought my MacBook Pro 2017.

There is a 20% coupon you can click on. I got it for $41.00 and couldn't resist since everything else was more than $100.00. It can get hot sometimes, but it color matches the Space Gray and has a power passthrough (if you happen to fill up the three other USB-C ports hahahahahahahahaha). It has three usb 3.0 ports, a sd and micro sd slot, hdmi and ethernet port.
