I know it will depend on intended use, but looking at the specs alone, what is the best value? I'm leaning towards the (2.9GHz, 32GB, 555x, 1TB) for $3299.

For me I need 1tb min ssd as well. Best I can find for what I want is:

Apple 15" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, Intel Core i7 2.6GHz, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Radeon Pro Vega 20, Space Gray (Mid 2018) $3,949.00

AppleCare $349

Promo Discount: -$225
Free shipping, no tax

Total: $4,073.00

I am not sure if the i9 is worth the extra for me. Pro photographer/ videographer using Adobe CC, Lightroom, photoshop plus many 3rd party filters, add Ons, presets etc, Premiere Pro, Capture One, and Final Cut with external 4K monitors. Plus I like to do some but not a lot of gaming.

Where did you find that deal?

How about "no" for an option? I don't find them to be good "values" at all. Would I buy one, assuming I had the money? Yes, but I don't consider any of those a "value." They're premium products from a company that will soak you for them.

Adorama...plus I get rewards points , equivalent to about $40. Oh Yippee but ever cent I get off helps with the pain from Apple shafting me...again, and again, and again.
