If I want to run bootcamp or Parallels on my Mac what is the best version of Windows to run on it?

I wouldn't even touch any other than Windows 7. Home Premium is likely enough for you

I concur, and unless you are running Boot Camp and absolutely need 4GB or more, stick with the 32 bit version.

I haven't migrated to Windows 7 Yet, still sticking to Windows XP for bootcamp. :)

I also agree. I went from XP Home to W7 Pro and must say that Windows 7 is very nice and seems to work exceptionally well.

I'm running Pro version of XP and Win7, and they both run quite well.

The only difference that I haven't yet resolved is that Win7 runs about 10- 20 degrees f warmer typically, even with no app's running. I've been looking at everything in startup etc and Win7 is clean from what I can tell. May just be one of those things...
