Best Video Camera for Under $300

I am looking for the best video camera for under $300. I know there are many but I would like some backup on a decision.

If so..I doubt there's an HD camera out there for under 300 bucks.

I picked up a sanyo HD700 for just under 300 from amazon a while back. Shoots in 720p and shoots in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 for easy use in iMovie.
