I have a MDD Dual 1.25Ghz that I want to put in the best graphics card I can. Any pointers, links, tips, etc will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I have been scouring eBay I just want a card that is good and others might have had experience with?

Also I noticed a lot of cards are actually PC, but are converted to be used with Mac?? Is there any excellent Mac native cards?

Yes, but there's no real difference in usage. Mostly it's about what ports the card has (i.e., a PC card isn't going to have an ADC port). There's no point in putting anything higher than a 9800 in a G4, anyway....

i'm in the market for a gpu upgrade for my agp-g5 as well, but it's not on top of the list - do you think there will be interesting offerings (price/performance) for agp macs during the next two years or is this gpu-interface dead on the mac-plattform?

I only have only have one compliant with the 9800 Pro... it's only 128Mbs. I am looking into like the nVidia GeForce 7800 GS 256 cards... I just want complete functionality from it. I know the cards aren't mac native, but if they are utilizing their full 256Mbs and other goodies I'll be happy!

In a G4 MDD (2x867) I didn't see much difference between a Radeon 9800 and a Radeon 9600 in terms of performance in FCP, games, etc. A Dual 1.25Ghz might be better paired with a Radeon 9800.

The 9600 doesn't have a fan, noise, and requires less power, while not requiring a molex power connection. It's a bit cheaper too.
