Best VLC Alternative Macbook air 2014

i like mplayer; i'd switched to it (from vlc) a few years back. then i had a file that it would not play...and went back to vlc.

both apps are great: free players that can handle almost anything either one should serve u well...

This has nothing to do with memory, but rather the weak integrated GPUs that are in the Macbook Air and 13'' Macbook Pro
