So guys, currently I have osx+windows in one drive and the second drive is exclusive for file sharing and data storage. Im wondering now since I'm moving from a macbook pro with 2 drives to a retina model, what would be the best most logical setup for file sharing between OSX and Bootcamp?

Im going to have to create a folder in one of the partitions and assign that role to it. In which side should I create it?

Having it on OSX means timemachine could back them up easily, but Id have to install HFS support on windows. Last time I did that it was very buggy and windows apps and tools screwed up the OSX partition because now they could write to it.
If I keep the folder in Windows, it means I wont havethe timemachine back up, but NTFS reading is much smoother in OSX.

Any thoughts?

I'm also interested in this.

I hope to get windows 10 set up on my Mac, so I can use game emulators, but in order to keep my windows partition small, hoped to keep the ROM files on the Mac side. However to save games etc, I would need HFS write access from windows.

Is this an unsafe thing to do? Would I be better having a larger windows partition and keeping the ROMs on there?
