I've got a 1.5 year old MBP and my battery will last about 2 to 2.5 hours almost. I'd like to get it back to new so I'm contemplating replacing the battery. So what's the best way to do it - buy the battery from a 3rd party or set up a Genius appointment? If I go the Genius route, can they just sell me the battery? I'd much rather install it myself. I can just see them laying my MBP down on some surface where it gets scratched or them stripping the screws trying to get the case opened. I'm more comfortable doing it myself.

Ideas?

No they wont sell you the battery and I hear that you cant even get an apple battery either.
