Hi,

I recently purchased a GPU from MacVidCards and am experiencing a number of acceleration issues, glitches, as well as system lockups when attempting to put system to sleep, etc. I've attempted to reach out to MVC at their questions@macvidcards.com and orders@macvidcards.com email addresses but have yet to hear back.

Any suggestions to more effectively get in touch with them?

For reference, here's a link showing some of the GPU issues noted above:

Thanks!

Most likely you will be on your own...

...and in this case some more info would be great! Most important one: Which card do you have? There are some having particular issues even not flashed with some MVC rom. I.e. 1080s just dont' sleep in Macs while 1070s do without any problems.

It makes no difference what contact info you have for David as he is highly experienced at ignoring people's complaints. Your best bet is to send one last email to him and let him know you are contacting California's Attorney General's office with a formal complaint against him if he does not respond. If he ignores that,
then do it.

The GPU is Titan Xp. Running macOS 10.13.6 (17G4015), CUDA Driver Version 396.148 and NVIDIA Web Driver 387.10.10.10.40.113.

I also have been seemingly ghosted after paying for a card some time ago, but I am more worried about the person himself. I know that on these forums there are a few people who say they know Dave, and I have read the comments about him being a notorious bad communicator, but has anyone gone and knocked on his door to make sure he is still alive and not deathly sick or in the hospital or some other thing?

Considering the times we live in now and the dangers that confront all of us, before I go ballistic and start legal actions (for me it is easy, I just tell PayPal that there was no delivery, but I do not want to cause harm to the only real source of working flashed video cards for Macs, you know?) I need to be really sure that he is not under great personal stress. I think that we computer/tech/older guys should stick together and try to support each other.

It makes no logical sense that someone who has had a viable business in a niche market for many years would suddenly disappear/stop communicating and alienate all of his customers for MONTHS now. I think the simpler way to think is that something is wrong with him and he needs help or at least our patience. But besides that...

Does anyone know him who is in LA and can go bang on his door? Can anyone call him other than the number that is listed in the PayPal account? Are any of his friends (he does have friends, right?) able to give an update? It would assist the dozens of angry folks out there!

Thank you!

He's fine as of about a week ago. (I don't know him, but he writes posts on Netkas forum.)

I bought a card from Los Angeles Macvidcards using Payal on 8/3/2020 and after 2 weeks I sent an email asking him politely for some update. He never answered the email but he shipped the card and now is installed and working fine. I never received an answer from another email I sent before. I got another AMD RX80 Mojave-Catalina bootscreen enabled card form zephyrsmarket I found on eBay. It's good to have another options.
