This hole Samsung > LG hype is ridiculous.

There is no actual proof that Samsung is better, just a bunch of people who said they remember seeing Samsung displays in the store and liked them better.

I have an LG screen and it is awesome, good contrast good colors, no problems.

I have to agree 100%!!! I calibrated my LG and honestly, it's perfect. I've looked at all the test patterns and it's fine. At first I was obsessing because I had the LG screen (but Samsung SSD) and then I just relaxed and starting using it. I'm blown away with how great this computer is. It fits my needs perfectly!

Why are these threads still cropping up

It is obvious there is little to no difference in the panels and this comes from people who have both.

I've said it from the beginning, it is impossible to get a good calibration when using 2 different panels. Owners HAVE to calibrate their panels and once done on the LG it looks awesome.

Also it has been proven the toshiba ssd is faster in day to day OS running. Samsung is only faster when transferring large files across the disk.

And before someone says it, no the samsung cannot run at 230MB/sec write when using an external dvd drive, USB stick or memory card... not unless you have a thunderbolt sata3 enabled device.
