Best way to jailbreak itouch MB model?

I'm trying to jailbreak my friends itouch MB model. What's the best way to go about this? I did my itouch 3G on 4.1 using limera1n.

Also, he's still running on version 2.2.1

Update to 4.1 and use greenpois0n to jailbreak.
