What's the best way to get tutored in Logic software? I'm new to Mac, but switched from PC partly to enjoy the improvements in music/media work. Would Logic tutoring come best from a textbook, or are there training videos, or Apple Store classes?

You should try asking the friendly folks over at the Digital Audio forum.

My question for you is whether or not you have experience digital audio workstations. If you used Pro Tools on your PC then learning Logic won't be too hard.

Thanks--that's good to know. I was hoping new software would be familiar based on previous PC work.

Here ya go: Mac Pro Video
This is the one I picked up, I chose the download version (you get it immediately and can access it on your hard drive w/o needing a DVD). You can also burn it to a disc as a backup if you prefer that. Very thorough. I'm experienced w/ Cubase & ProTools and I'm learning lots from this tutorial; it covers all the basics too so there's something there for everyone.

Much better than a textbook for getting started right away.
