iPad Pro Best way to move photos from USB stick to iPP and from an iMac to iPP

I guess that's redundant because I can just put the photos from the Mac onto another USB stick, so I really just need to know the best way to move photos from a regular USB stick over to an iPP. What kind of gadget will do that most easily?

Assuming USB-C on your iPad and USB stick with standard USB-A type connector, a cheap approach is an adapter -

Could you transfer over iCloud?

The problem with using iCloud is my limited WiFi. I’d likely use up my month’s allotment backing up and restoring all those photos from iCloud. I swear my internet options just suck.

That adapter would be perfect - is it just something I’d plug into the iPP with the USB stick in the other end and be able to just save all the files to the iPad?
