I have a problem with how my car is grouping by artist when connected by cable.
To start, a brief description of how my tags are currently setup. For all various artist albums, the album artist is set to "Various Artist" with the artist being set to the actual track artist. Part of a compilation is checked.
The problem is, when searching by artist in my car, its grouping on the "artist" field and not "album artist". This is creating an extra long list to search through. The weird thing is, when the device is connected via bluetooth, it groups on "album artist".
Can anyone provide any input how best to go about resolving this? I would really like to avoid setting the artist field to various artist and appending the actual artist to the track title if possible.
