Best way to show web files?

On my website, I compressed MOV files with H.264, but the only problem is that some people with a PC can't see them.

What's the best compression choice so that both Mac and PC users can view my videos?

MOV files are video files that can be viewed by PC and Mac users with Quicktime installed. Ask the PC users to install the software if they don't already have it, and give a try.

Are the files embedded or just a direct link?
