looking for the best way to stream photos from my PC to Ipad 2...someone mentioned Photograb...any other options...this seems to be lacking in Home Sharing currently...there must be a way to do it...I want to have all photos on PC and be able to access them on the ipad and possibly import them to the ipad wirelessly and do a little editing there...but i don't want to have to store gb's and gb's of photos on the ipad itself...what are the options?

ps. i tried PLEX on PC, but couldnt see how you get it working for photos?!

Thanks!

I'm looking for this too. The best bet so far has been Dropbox but its image viewer could use some more features and it's buggy (quits after a certain number of photo views).

I Use PhotoSync. It's absolutely perfect. I can stream pictures, videos from my iPad to my computer or iPhone. To send pictures from my Mac, I just drag them over the PhotoSync icon, and they send them to whatever IOS device is running the App. I do believe they have the corresponding application for a PC as well.

my photo library is big...maybe 50gb's...and i always like to take lots of new photos...then want to store them all on a PC or possibly a NAS or some kind of server and then be able to access them with the ipad..maybe do some editing on the ipad too...Photosync will do the job? it almost seems like Apple forgot about this function or didnt think about it...but it could be coming in iOS 5..I heard something about "photostream"...
I don't want to fill the ipad with gb's and gb's of photos...only have 32gb to work with :(

...it looks like Photosync is good for syncing and storing photos in multiple place, but how is it for simply viewing? slideshows? snappy? does it get sluggish with the current .jpg image sizes ? (i have a Lumix ZS7 which is like 12 megapixels or something)

Thanx!

This sort of stuff should be handled through iTunes. Share a folder and stream it but if they can't even get iTunes video streaming (PC/Mac to iPad through iTunes) then I don't expect them to get photos done. Even on the Mac side you can't stream your Aperture or iPhoto library which is totally a missing feature.

I hope the software can upload photo like Andoid just copy paste

I don't like itune handle data/photo transfer (sync mode) it confusing and need time to understand it for new user

iTunes video streaming works just fine for me, Mac to iPhone 4. You need to enable home sharing.

Arrange the photos you want to transfer in a same folder. Open iTunes and connect your iPad to the computer. Choose Photo panel to "sync" the entire folder has created before to transfer photos from PC to iPad.
