I have a 2010 macbook pro with an iTunes library. I want to transfer it to my new 2013 macbook pro. Is the best way to do this using iTunes match? I was planning on purchasing anyway so that I have access to my iTunes on my iPad. Or should I just use an external hard drive to transfer?

I just upgraded to a New Mac Mini and used Migration Assistant, it worked great ..but it took it 3 + hours and all my files/Apps were there

If you use this method, your backups will be there as well and you won't get the "This iPhone has been sync'ed with another computer" message either...
