Firefox.
Safari really P*sses me off. It keeps trying to set itself as default (if you click a link in mail) for no reason.

I find Firefox is faster and with all the add ons a much better, friendlier and useful application and one less bit of software that is totally tied to Apple and their coolaid.

im here cause i bought a macbook today.

and yes i am a 12 year old girl.

Er.

bob2131?

Anywho, I'm tempted to call troll... You're judging browsers on names? Thats just, er, scary. And if you're bothered that Leopard looks like iTunes, why didn't you research these things beforehand?

On topic: I use FireFox 3, with a Safari theme called GrApple. Firefox functionality, with Safaris looks. Sorted.

safari = zoo = lol
Safari
1. A web browser from Apple Inc.

safari |səˈfärē|
noun ( pl. -ris )
2. an expedition to observe or hunt animals in their natural habitat, esp. in East Africa : one week on safari.
ORIGIN late 19th cent.: from Kiswahili, from Arabic safara ‘to travel.’

windows xp will always be my baby.
Actually, I think it's officially Rosemary's Baby!

im here cause i bought a macbook today.
and yes i am a 12 year old girl.

Congrats on your new MacBook!

You must be pissed that your parents named you bob2131! .... unless that's short for roberta2131!! :D

A Safari is a zoo.

I think that's a rubbish name, and it looks a lot like iTunes, which I don't like much.

Yeah, I use Opera. It's nice.

Windows XP will always be my baby.

There, fixed that for you.

And no, a safari is not a zoo.

Anyways, iTunes' look is based on the look of OS X, which is "Aqua." Looking at any picture of OS X before buying it would have helped you see that. XP is a joke in terms of looks, but arguing cosmetics is entirely pointless.

Anyways, hints: Get a year older, as a twelve year old girl would not be allowed to register on these forums, as per the forum rules. Secondly, improve your linguistic abilities, especially punctuation. I know we're only supposed to mention that stuff when people are completely incoherent, but really..."Safari = zoo = lol. Its like iTunes = lol" is pretty ridiculous for a conversation.

How can't it sound good? It's a name! Apple could have called it, I don't know, "Browser", and it'd be the same. Names don't normally mean anything...

And yes, Leopard does look like iTunes, because they're made by the same company?

And no, there are no official ways to theme Leopard yet. There are a few themes out there, but nothing massively huge.

That IS judging it based on its name. "It's a stupid name. I don't think it sounds good." It is a fine browser, and while Opera is a million times better than it and every other browser out there, I have no problems using it.

Yes...We know it looks like iTunes...iTunes is an OS X program and therefore based on the look of OS X. This has already been pointed out, and is quite obvious.

As for changing the look, just little things. There's no overall different theme. I would look in System Preferences for anything you can change that might make it seem better for you. Plus, OS X is not radically different in each revision, in terms of looks, so the whole Aqua feel that OS X and iTunes has is not going to away, unless you want OS X to look like OS 9:

i used to be a 12 year old girl .
im now 74.

Anyways, just because you think of a zoo when you hear Safari doesn't mean a Safari has anything to do with a zoo. That's not a fact; that's ********.

Because they wanted to.

Okay, well, have fun with "being happy" with your typing skills. When you can type 180-210 words per minute with a 99% accuracy rate, get back to me. It also shows no personality. You are on the internet.

Really? 72? After Menopause, you must've got pretty hairy. You probably look a lot like the troll I imagine you to be.

im putting windows xp AND vista on my macbook.

mmmmmm

Great for you. I have both on my Macbook as well. I use Vista to play the two games I play that don't have OS X versions, and I use XP to remind myself why I now own a Mac. They both look terrible, though, so, eh. Doesn't matter which I use. I'm reminded either way. :D

Anyways, I'm gonna stop feeding.

safari is a kind of zoo related word.

Safari relates to the opposite of zoo. Safari is observing animals in the wild. Zoos are holding animals in captivity. Safari = freedom. Zoo = bondage.

Actually, Safari is aptly named:

safari |səˈfärē|
noun ( pl. -ris )
2. an expedition to observe (read or watch) or hunt (search for) animals (information) in their natural habitat (the Internet)...
ORIGIN late 19th cent.: from Kiswahili, from Arabic safara ‘to travel.’ (to surf)

whose rosemary?

Being only 12 years old, I wouldn't expect you to remember the movie "Rosemary's Baby":

"She is informed that she is the mother of the long-awaited anti-christ born in June 1966 (6/66)."

whose rosemary?

i can type accurately. but choose not to on forums. thers a time and place to be accurate. i work for a newspaper. i know about accuracy. my work gets published nationally.

feel me?

(windows xp will always be my baby.)

I certainly don't 'get you'. And what does how the bloke is dressed have to do with anything? It's a computer.

im putting windows xp AND vista on my macbook.

mmmmmm

Bully for you. I'd like to see you try without bollocksing it up. Seeing as you'd end up complaining about rEFIt, or BootCamp, how it sounds "like lol an lol army lol lol".

I'd rather not 'feel you', and okay, XP can be your baby.

Be gone, troll! You're seriously bad at this...

i may just uninstall leopard and just use windows XP on my macbook.

mmm

Wait, wait, since when does the way anybody is dressed have to do with which brand of computer they use? You make no sense...

And about the 'uninstalling Leopard' thing, you do that. Really, please do. Then you can post pointless threads about computers on Windows forums.

I still think you're a troll... ;)

First, if someone is educated enough to know how to read, write, spell, punctuate, capitalize and form grammatically correct sentences, they don't just turn it off when they get in a forum where communication is important. Those skills become habit. I highly doubt that anyone, especially any newspaper, would publish such a childish excuse for writing.

Second, if you were old enough to have the experience you claim, you would have known who Rosemary's Baby was.

Third, if you take issue with the fact that the people who appear in Apple videos are carefully chosen for their appearance, then you're not mature enough to understand basic business and marketing. Every successful company, including Apple, is very careful about the image it portrays, to maximize effectiveness of it's advertising to its target market.

The fact that you take issue with that, along with your terminology ("dude", "FACT", "feel me", etc.) and lack of communication skills, indicates you have many years of growing, learning and maturing before your opinions will be meaningful enough to offer any value to people.

touche.....well said. really......
i dont turn it off, i jsut write fast and dont like to waste time with writing slow and correct and re-reading. i write it coherently enought to be understood. yes i work for newspaper, and i am known for hardly ever making mistakes with punctuation grammer and spelling. theres a time and place for things. at work i do it perfectly, here in forums i go nuts with speed and effieciency of learning / discussing.

i thought rosemary was bill gates wife.

ok so what was the thinking behind the middle aged dude who presented leopard? ..........it actually irked my friend enough for him to mention it.
i thought it was fine, but it did send a message and draw unesecarry attetntion to the guy...... he did a good job...... but it was TOO obvious, kinda like red flag saying "here look at this guy, we have carefuly chosen his clothes and posture and watch and glassed and jumper, we think you wont notice, but were trying to sell this brand of apple too and suck you in"
...it would have been better with no guy....and just voice narrator.

i have personality. this comes across in my posts. yes i may be immature and poor communication skills......cant help it. sorry.

sorry if come across as a muppet or if i offend anyone.

it doesnt. im talking about apple decision to use that guy portraying that image.

my friends have installed leopard on thier pcs using VMWare and virtualisation and they say it runs fine. i told teh apple staff this. and they looked at me like im a loon, then they asked an apple genius, and they agreed and passed off the q...........lol

1. First you say your 12 years old, then
2. You say you work for a newspaper???
3. You say you make few mistakes with punctuation, but never learned that a sentence starts with a Capitol LETTER! (Or use an apostrophe.)
