I'm looking for a WiFi locating app that you would recommend
and equally important, the ones you would strongly discourage
from purchasing.

WifiTrak - use this all the time to find and connect to *free* WiFi. Used it a lot in the States recently and does a great job.

I just downloaded it. Thanks for the tap on the shoulder.
The reviews look good compared to others.

I'll play around with it.

I know you just downloaded it, but another vote for WifiTrak ;)

I love that it connects to each network and gives a red or green light depending on weather or not it can ping a website.

Just read some of the reviews on the competition in the app
store and many are truly hated! Either they don't work or are
simply poorly executed.
