When upgrading my mac pro 1.1 to run Yosemite I found that I had to remove the wifi/bluetooth in order for the usb's to function normally. I am running off a USB Wifi dongle currently but would like to have a built in option. Would anyone and any recommendations for a wifi PCIE card with OS X compatibility I can install in this Mac Pro.

Interesting that your USBs wouldn't work. In any case, you could also look into getting a BCM94360CD BT 4.0 + WiFi card with a mini PCIe adapter. I got mine from a Chinese seller on eBay for relatively little money and it works great, at least I didn't notice any issues with USB. It is now in a MP5,1 and provides me with AC WiFi (only right now, would need an extension cord to connect the BT as well; this is all in the same place in the 1,1 and thus easier to install).

Thanks for both of those answers. Yes the usb's use the same power as the wifi card and when you install mavericks or yosemite on my 1.1 they don't work properly unless you remove the card. I will definitely be looking at both of your suggestions.
