What's the best writing app for iPhone? Looking for something that preferably is able to send via email for continued writing on a laptop when not on the road, do a word count and save in .txt format. Thank you.

Id look into office. Prety much the gold standard IMO.

I remember paying a few quid for Pages, and now it seems to come with the phones. It's good but a word processor so probably not what you're looking for.

Try Matcha. Used it for years with no problem.

    +uncluttered, clean workspace
    +WYSIWYG Markdown text processor
+a number of sharing options
    +12 themes and 5 typefaces
+reliable and fast iCloud & Dropbox sync
    +universal full-text search
+full bluetooth keyboard support (with shortcut)
+seamless integration with Fleksy keyboard, TextExpander, and LauncherPro.

What email client do you use? Just the basic Mail app?

Lots of people swear by Byword. But I mostly use Drafts.
