Bestbuy iPhone 5S unlocked?

Does the Verizon iPhone 5 work on T-Mobile 4g? I ask because I recently tried and only got edge. Should I have called Verizon to unlock the device? Or does the iPhone 5 only support T-Mobile re-farmed areas?

The confusing issue is they show both an A1533 (GSM) and A1533 (CDMA) as two models in this chart. If you have LTE service it looks like you are OK, otherwise it would appear that there are two incompatible phones.

That chart is for after you activate it on whatever provider you have the question is and nobody knows yet if after you activate it for AT&T can you later switch to Verizon that we wont know till we activate some devices. The hardware is capable but it might be locked out software wise after you activate it.
