BestShieldEver on Macbook

I ordered a wrist rest / trackpad shield from BSE, which recently arrived.

I still have a lot of InvisibleShield Application Solution left from putting an IS on my iPod. Do you think it's alright to use it for the BSE as well?

I ordered my complete MacBook skin last night.

Although I have never attempted this before I would say no. Apply as instructed. That way if something screws up you won't automatically assume it was the application stuff. 🙂

I did it anyway; I think it actually worked better for the BSE than the IS.

I'm pretty sure it's just soapy water in a bottle anyway.

Hehe alright, well happy it worked. My BSE should be here in a week or so. I'm kinda worried about putting it on and stuff.

Did you do the whole run a hot shower and do it in there?

i'm not ever sure there's soap in there.

i was a bit nervous about squirting the sheets with water and then applying them to my macbook in case the water ran off into any holes where important electronics live. i did get a bit of water in the battery compartment but i mopped it up pretty quick and all was ok

I didn't run a hot shower. I did apply it it in the bathroom though, because that gets cleaned most often. 😛

I found it pretty easy to apply. If dust gets stuck to the underside of the shield, you can sometimes get it off if you rub hard enough.

ShieldZone's invisableSHEILD product has to be the best "thingy" I bought for my MACs. I promptly through aware the terrible MarWare product - yuck!

I put almost the entire kit (I did NOT put the skin on the track pad and track button) on my 17" MBP and not only does it protect it well but a really great side benefit is that it is so much easier to grip, like when taking in & out of the laptop bag & security bin at airports.
