I bought a set of Bestskinever for the front and back of my new iPhone 4. I did not realize that it requires a wet install.

I'm not sure if i trust myself to do it. What simple alternative would you recommend.

Go for it.

Bestskinsever are nice skins and it's worth a shot to protect the phone.
The iPhone 4 is the easiest design yet for installing theses skins. With a simple shape flat front and back surfaces this becomes a simple job compared to a 3G or Blackberry.
Put some warm water in a bowl with a drop of dish soap and mix, then get and keep your fingers wet and peel and dip the skins in the soapy water. After that it's just laying the skins on (adjust for acurate placement).
Use a credit card to push the water and bubbles out.
One day later you should be looking good.
If you don't like it then peel it off and discard - no big woop.
